Ekbergs Foundation Stipendium

On 9th August 2024 Elide won the Ekberg Foundation Stipendium in Sweden, assigned by the Friends of Vadstena-Akademien. The prize consists in a grant of 25000 SEK. At the ceremony she played Kaija Saariaho's Sept Papillons.

Out the results of Vadstena-Akademien cello solo call for scores

On the 2nd of July 2024 are finally out the results of the call for scores promoted by Vadstena-Akademien in collaboration with Elide Sulsenti
Congratulations to all the applicants and in particular to the selected composers Gaia Aloisi, Inga Chinilina, Román González Escalera, Jaehyuck Choi, Matteo Rigotti.

Elide will perform their works on a dedicated concerts on the 3rd of August at Strå Kyrka in Vadstena (Sweden).

First Prize
at Valentino Bucchi Contemporary Music Competition 2024

On 9th March 2024 Elide won the Premio Valentino Bucchi 2024 hosted by Accademia Filarmonica Romana in Rome (Italy). She played Luciano Berio's Sequenza XIV and Les mots sont alles in the pre-final round, and Près by Kaija Saariaho for cello and electronics in the final round. Listen to the final round here.

Connect Festival - eight cello solo premières in March in Malmö (Sweden)

On the 16th March 2024 at the IAC in Malmö will be performed eight new pieces by the Composition Master's students of the Musikhögskolan i Malmö for solo cello or cello & electronics. The project consists in three workshops held by Elide on December, January and March for the students, and a final concert during Connect Festival 2024. More information coming in January here: Link

07.09.2023 Selected to perform in Winter 2024 the première of the new piece by Dusan Bogdanovic for cello and guitar Quattro Salmi in memoriam Angelo Gilardino, for the association Musicare and with the guitarist Cristiano Porqueddu

Fritz Gerber Award 2023

The cellist Elide Sulsenti, the trombonist Romain Nussbaumer, and percussionist Noah Rosen win this year Fritz Gerber Award.

The Fritz Gerber Foundation for Gifted Young People has been operating since 1999. It sponsors gifted young people in the fields of skilled crafts and trades, culture, and athletics. The jury consists of Michael Haefliger, Executive and Artistic Director of Lucerne Festival, and the composer and conductor Heinz Holliger.

14.03.2023 Selected as member of the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra 2023.

Vadstena-Akademien 2023

20.02.2023 Selected as Solo Cello for the contemporary ensemble of Vadstena-Akademien 2023. The ensemble will premiere, the 21st July, the new Opera "Andefabriken” by Daniel Nelson, commissioned by Vadstena-Akademien. More informations here!
